In the period when health was accepted as a basic social purpose and health institutions as a social organization, it became inevitable that thoughts and perception of people, societies about basic health services were changed in line with the reformed health policies of the state. Perception of health can be expressed as subjective evaluations of an individual's perception of his own health. Individuals 'perceptions of their own health may vary according to individuals' expectations, living conditions and perspectives. Considering how much health is affected by poverty, air and water pollution, and the price changes of harmful substances such as alcohol and cigarettes, it can be said that the effects of a virus that threatens human life with death are substantial. In this study, the concept of perception, the perception process, the factors affecting the concept of perception, health services and health perception will be discussed and respectively foreign and Turkish literature reviews on perception of health will be given. Then, the psychological perception of health, the perception of health in terms of perceived quality, the relationship of patient perceptions to satisfaction and perceived health needs will be examined and information on the changing perception of health with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic will be presented.
