Okutma ve gösterme üzerine nesne kitap incelemesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, kavram ve tanımlama olarak tartışmaları devam eden ‘Nesne Kitap’ çerçevesinde, kitap nesnesinin okuyucu, tasarımcı, sanatçı üçlemesindeki iletişim ve gösterme ilişkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada; Kitabın, tanımından form olarak biçimlenmesinden, özellikle de yirminci yüzyıl içerisindeki örneklerine değin kavramsal değişkenler incelenmiştir. Farklı tasarımcıların söylemlerinden, nesne kitap kavramıyla ilgili çeşitli bulgular elde edilmiş, ‘okutma’ ve ‘gösterme’ eylemleri üzerine olan düşünceler belirginleştirilmiştir. Bulgulara göre okuyucunun da anlama katkı sağlama potansiyeline değer verilmiş ve kitabın çok alıntılı örgü süyle okuyucuyu hikâyeye dahil etmiştir. Bu bağlamda, ‘Nesne Kitap’ okurun katılımıyla müdahaleye uğrayabilecek, okurla arasında gelişecek ilişkiye göre değişime uğrayabilecek, yalnızca içeriğinin değil ve kitabın kendisinin de okunduğu kitaptır düşüncesi öne çıkmıştır.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the book object, the reader, the designer and the artist in the trilogy of communication and display, within the framework of the “Art Book”, which continues to be discussed as a concept and definition. In the research; Conceptual variables from the definition of the book to its formation as a form and especially its examples in the twentieth century have been examined. Various findings about the concept of art book were obtained from the discourses of different designers, and the thoughts on the actions of ‘reading’ and ‘showing’ were clarified. According to the findings, the potential of the reader to contribute to the meaning was also valued and included the reader in the story with the multi-quoted structure of the book. In this context, the idea that “Art Book” is a book that can be intervened with the participation of the reader, that can change according to the relationship that will develop with the reader, that not only the content but also the book itself is read has come to the fore.
