As a result of studies showing that the term Evidence-Based Medicine has been used for approximately 37 years, the concept of Evidence-Based Medicine has begun to be used due to the rapidly developing technology, the changes in the health system, the inadequacy of the statistical data in the diagnosis of the physicians and the lack of storing the data in a certain place and the difficulty of reaching these data. Evidence-based medicine is a literature review of the electronic media and the researches of the articles, journals and textbooks published from the past to the present will be investigated and evaluated. patients need to evaluate their own knowledge and experience by considering their expectations, needs and desires by evaluating and implementing the evidence. Application of KDT takes place in 5 stages. These; to create an answerable question, to scan the literature, to find the best evidence, to evaluate the evidence found, to decide and to evaluate the performance. In this study, the concept of evidence-based medicine, its functioning, the physician problems in this application and how the application is examined are explained.
